This course develops NRA Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, conducting and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This course is 9 hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility.
There are two ways to become an NRA Range Safety Officer. You can take an Online Course from the NRA if you are currently an NRA Certified Firearm Instructor or you can take a course conducted by a Chief Range Safety Officer, an individual certified to train NRA Range Safety Officers. The Platte River Armory Staff is a certified NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.
